| [23.05.06] On Sunday, May 28th, Coppola Music, in Sao Paulo, will be the cenario that will show the reunion of two projects that really fight for the growth of independent music in Brazil: 2 em 1 and Machina Redux. On stage, two upcoming and shinning bands from the brazilian electrorock scene, Multiplex, from Sao Paulo, Montage, from Fortaleza, and the pioneers from Santos: Harry. These three bands have in common the high voltage from their live shows and the strenght of their sound, that blends electronic with rock, each one with their own style and references. Multiplex, considered by the media as the new “sensation” coming from the Sao Paulo underground scene, shows their contemporary, and, at the same time, nostalgic productions that capture such a wide range of precious influences, from Giorgio Moroder to Human League, gang of Four to Gang 90, amongst others. Montage, the northeast trio who’s know established in Sao Paulo, have been hailed by the critics and audience as the new phenomena of brazilian rock. Their highest strenght come s from their live performances, especially from the carismathic crooner Daniel Peixoto, described by Alex Antunes on Bizz Magazine as a kind of post-adolescent Iggy Pop. On the other side, we have Harry, a band with a 20–years carrrer and who’s history is fused with the brazilian’s own contemporary music history. The box set “Taxidermy – Boxing Harry”, which was recently released, brings up their whole discography and made the band, once again, considered as “ahead of its time”, by making a daring mix of electronic music and rock, back in the middle of the 80’s. In between shows, DJs Luis Depeche, Bispo and Eneas Neto will be doing a DJ set that connects the past and present of electronic music, in its own wide musical universe and possibilities, mixing different styles and pointing new ways with the fusion of rock.
